Fraud, Warrants Reported In Princeton

Princeton Police reported making two arrests for outstanding warrants recently.

PRINCETON, NJ — A fraud and two warrant arrests were reported in Princeton recently.

Princeton Police blotter:

On Dec. 18: A Community Village resident reports receiving a collections notice in the mail requesting that she pay $249.56 for a Verizon account that was fraudulently opened in her name.

On Dec. 17: Upon arriving at Princeton Municipal court on an unrelated matter, Tanajia L. Jones, 22, of Trenton was found to have numerous ATS Warrants out of Maple Shade Borough, Plainsboro Twp., Pennsauken Twp., Ewing Twp. and the City of Trenton totaling $2,050. After completing her appearance in Princeton Municipal Court, She was subsequently released from each jurisdiction.

On Dec. 15 at 3:55 p.m.: Princeton patrols arrested Rachid Benmoussa, 45, of Princeton at the request of Lawrence Township Municipal court on their outstanding warrant as well as an outstanding no bail NCIC warrant from Mercer County Sheriff’s office. Benmoussa was subsequently located by Princeton Police Officers and placed under arrest. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released to the custody to Lawrence Township Police.
