Fraudulent $100 Bills Passed In Princeton: Police

Princeton police release their activity report.

PRINCETON, NJ — Two counterfeit $100 bills were used to purchase items in Princeton recently, police said this week.

On March 15, at about 5:24 p.m., an unidentified white male used a counterfeit $100 bill to make a purchase of $20 at D'Angelo’s Italian Market.

On March 19, Jazam’s store management reported a person of an unknown gender, possibly Latino, 5’7” with hair shaved on the sides with a long ponytail, purchased a toy bucket for $7.55. They paid with a $100 bill that was later determined to be counterfeit. They left the area on foot after receiving $92.45 in change.

The incidents were reported as part of this week’s Princeton police log. All incidents are merely accusations, and those accused are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. Other incidents were reported as follows:

Douglass Wilson, 25, of Trenton, was arrested on an outstanding $250 warrant out of the Trenton Municipal Court following an investigation of an unwanted person at Princeton House on March 19. He was taken to police headquarters for processing, at which time a no bail NCIC warrant from Bucks County, Pa. was also discovered. Wilson was subsequently taken to Mercer County Jail and detained for Bucks County authorities.

Aaron Woodhull, 26, of Jamesburg, was arrested for possession of a 4.5” folding knife and a hypodermic needle after a car in which he was a passenger was stopped for maintenance of lamps on Stockton Street on March 18. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued two complaint summonses with a pending court date and released.

Terrance Travers, 39, of Kingston, was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) following an investigation for bstructed traffic and urinating in public on South Harrison Street on March 18. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued several motor vehicle summonses and a complaint summons with a pending court date and released to a sober adult.

Johanna Beason, 37, of Ewing, was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Hopewell Township Municipal Court for $1,000 following a traffic stop for failure to maintain lane and loud muffler on Stockton Street on March 17. She was taken to police headquarters, where she was issued summonses with a pending court date and subsequently released on her own recognizance by Hopewell Municipal Court.
