The Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) is hosting a free Webinar on Nonviolence: The Most Effective Path to Peace from 7:00-8:30 PM on Tuesday, March 17 on Zoom. The subtitle is Rethinking Power, Conflict, and How Peace is Built. Those wanting to receive the Zoom link to attend must pre-register at CFPA’s web site, peacecoalition.org.

The keynote speaker will be Sam Chawla-Rios. He is a nonviolence strategist, trainer, and community organizer dedicated to developing the human and civic capacities necessary for lasting peace. With a background in engineering, Sam brings a systems-oriented approach to social change, focusing on disciplined nonviolent action, de-escalation training, and organized civil resistance.

He has helped establish peacekeeping teams across New Jersey and facilitates trainings that equip communities to handle conflict without resorting to violence. A question/answer period will follow his presentation.

I strongly encourage all who are concerned about the extremely dangerous escalation of war between Iran, Israel, and the US to register and learn more about nonviolence, the most effective strategy for stable, long-term peacemaking,” said the Rev. Robert Moore, CFPA Executive Director.
