Great Road Remains Closed, Power Still Out For Some In Princeton

Downed trees and wires have caused Princeton roads to remain close and some to be without power on Tuesday morning.

PRINCETON, NJ — Great Road remains closed and some Princeton locals are still without power following a storm Monday that brought wind gusts of up to 60 mph across Mercer County.

Great Road in Princeton between Ridgeview Road and Cherry Valley Road remains closed for trees and wires. Drivers should find alternate routes, police reported Tuesday morning.

Trucks should avoid the area as the roads may not be negotiable with larger trailers, police said.

Additionally about 300 Mercer County residents remain without power Tuesday including 18 Princeton PSE&G customers due to a tree on utility wires.
