Harassment, Burglary, DWI: Princeton Police Blotter

A Witherspoon Street business reported that a Princeton man entered a closed portion of the establishment and stole items, police said.

PRINCETON, NJ – The Princeton Police blotter, dated April 3 had the following reports:

On March 29 around 11:49 p.m., following a crash on Prospect Avenue, a 57-year-old Princeton woman was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. She was processed and charged accordingly and released, police said.

On March 29, subsequent to a motor vehicle crash investigation, the driver was found to have an active warrant out of Hamilton Township Municipal Court. The 28-year-old Trenton woman was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed and released after posting bail.

On the evening of March 30, police received a call from a retail establishment on Witherspoon Street. A 31-year-old Princeton man was found to have entered a closed portion of the establishment and stolen several items, police said. While the investigation was happening on the scene, the man attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended shortly. He was placed under arrest, processed, charged accordingly and transported to the Mercer County Correctional Center, police said.

On March 30 around 12:30 p.m., a person reported being harassed on North Harrison Street after engaging in a verbal argument with a suspect. The argument later turned physical after the suspect shook a grocery bag on the left side of the victim’s face, police said.

On March 31 around 9:50 p.m., police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Palmer Square West for driving without headlights when required. The driver, a 20-year-old resident of Maple Shade, was found to have an active warrant out of Pennington Borough Municipal Court. He was placed under arrest, processed and released.
