Heavy Winds Topple Multiple Trees, Wires In Princeton

As of 2:30 p.m. PSE&G is reporting more than 300 residents are without power in Princeton.

PRINCETON, NJ — As heavy winds blow through the area, multiple trees and wires have been reported down in Princeton on Thursday.

The downed trees and wires have caused multiple Princeton roads to close including (with updated reopenings):

  • Pretty Brook Road at Brooks Bend
  • Princeton Kingston Road in the area of #724 (reopened)
  • Hardy Drive (reopened)
  • John Street in the area of 156
  • Maple Street in the area of #48 (reopened)
  • Florence Drive in the area of #25 (reopened)

As of 2:30 p.m. PSE&G is reporting more than 300 residents are without power in Princeton. Power is estimated to be restored by 9:30 p.m. on Thursday.

As of 5 p.m. there are still 220 residents without power, according to PSE&G.
