How Mercer County Voted For President, Congress, Marijuana
According to the unofficial tally, county residents voted in favor of legalizing marijuana. Here are the numbers.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Election Day has turned into election week throughout the country, as votes continue to be counted.
Last reported by Patch, Mercer County is still tallying around 12,000 provisional ballots, and 25,000 mail-in ballots it received.

On Nov. 6, around 161,729 votes by mail ballots were counted and the results were posted on the Mercer County Clerk’s website. Patch will be looking at this data to tell you how the county voted for the next President and where it stood on questions like legalization of marijuana. The final tally of the provisional ballots could affect the outcome of results.

President
Vice President Joe Biden led in Mercer County against President Donald Trump. At last count, Biden and Kamala Harris were leading with 109,514 votes, compared to 45,926 votes cast for President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.
Senate
Mercer County leaned blue and voted for Sen. Cory Booker. Booker received 105,126 votes, while his opponent, Rikin Mehta received 46,813.
Congress
Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, from NJ’s 12th Congressional District led by 75,489 votes. Her opponent, Mark Razzoli received 23,833 votes.
Although the Associated Press called the election for Watson Coleman, Razzoli told Patch he will not concede unless all votes are counted.
However, for NJ’s 4th congressional district, the county leaned red, giving Rep. Christopher Smith an edge over Democratic challenger, Stephanie Schmid.
Smith received 27,285 votes compared to Schmid’s24,148. The towns of Hamilton and Robbinsville come under the 4th congressional district.
Legal Marijuana
Mercer County has so far voted in favor of legalizing recreational marijuana. According to unofficial results, 107,915 voted in favor, and 43,993 opposed it.
The above numbers could reflect a change once all votes have been counted.
