Icy Roads Cause Crashes, Delayed Openings In Mercer Co. Wednesday
Local police departments asked drivers to stay off the road, as they dealt with multiple crashes on Wednesday morning.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Treacherous road conditions caused crashes, traffic issues, and delayed opening in several Mercer County towns on Wednesday morning.
Princeton:
Great Road was closed between Cherry Valley and Stuart Road due to an overturned Dump Truck, early Wednesday morning. Mercer Road was also closed but has since reopened.

Princeton Public Schools had a delayed start owing to icy roads conditions. Schools has a 90 minute to a two-hour delay.
West Windsor:

Traffic moved at a snail's pace on Wednesday morning in West Windsor, as icy roads caused multiple crashes. All township roads were covered in ice and police reported accidents taking place on all major roads.
Township offices and the senior center opted for a delayed opening at 11 a.m.
Lawrence Township:
The area of Trenton Freeway was closed early Wednesday morning due to multiple motor vehicle crashes and icy road conditions.
In neighboring South Brunswick, police reported 33 crashes and various vehicle assists since 6:08 a.m.
Speed limits on the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway were reduced to 45 mph due to slippery conditions as crews salt the roads, according to 511nj.org.
