Last week, the divided House Judiciary Committee passed two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, voting along party lines to approve accusations that he abused the power of his office and obstructed Congress in an attempt to rig the 2020 election.

The president has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and has heaped scorn on the possibility of being impeached, calling it a "hoax."

Trump's campaign team has claimed the impeachment proceedings have actually helped the president with his 2020 campaign by "igniting a flame" under his supporters.

With a key vote and other impeachment proceedings expected to take place this week, supporters of impeaching Trump are planning a national day of rallies on Dec. 17.
