CRANBURY, N.J. (Sept. 12, 2017) – Sales are underway at The Gateway, the highly anticipated new collection of 54 luxury townhomes situated at the intersection of South Main Street and Old Trenton Road in Cranbury Township.
Developed by a partnership of High Point Development and Robertson Douglas Group, the opening of The Gateway represents the culmination of a years-long process of transforming an underutilized tract of land – three adjacent parcels that had been deemed by the Township of Cranbury as an “area in need of redevelopment” because of obsolete uses – intoan aesthetically pleasing residential enclave that serves as a connection between Cranbury’s downtown and its outlying neighborhoods.

With four distinct floor plans to choose from, including both first-floor and second-floor master suite options, the community was designed to appeal to a cross-section of buyers in search of a convenient and maintenance-free lifestyle.
“We’re excited to begin welcoming homebuyers to The Gateway, which meets the strong and growing demand for well-designed, newly constructed homes in Middlesex County,” said Paul Schneier, founder of High Point Development. “The community presents a rare opportunity for buyers who value proximity to Cranbury’s historic downtown, which is one of the most quaint and walkable business districts in New Jersey.”
Priced starting at $629,990, the townhomes at The Gateway are available in four distinct floor plans. “The Hagerty” is a 2,940-square-foot end home with a master suite on the first floor – ideal for “move down” buyers in search of one-floor living with the flexibility of having bedrooms and a loft upstairs for guests. Both the “The Trenton” and “The Cranbury” feature 3,100 square feet of living space with second-floor master suites, while “The Princeton” is a 3,688-square-foot end unit with a private side entrance leading to a grand two-story foyer.
In addition to providing generous square footage and two-car garages, all layouts include upscale design details and transitional spaces, including wide staircases, large windows, 10-foot ceilings on the first floor and nine-foot ceilings on the second floor, and garage doors with glass panels.
Home exteriors, which feature brick and fiber cement siding, reflect the desire of Township residents and officials to create a community that fits seamlessly into the existing landscape of Cranbury Township, which is known for its superior school system and low property taxes.
“We spent considerable time assessing the needs of prospective homebuyers in the area, and working with the Township to craft a redevelopment plan that allowed us to develop a community that meets the needs of all stakeholders,” Schneier said. “Main Street is the gateway to Cranbury’s downtown, so it was important to create a development that looked good to passersby. For that reason, the homes essentially have two front entrances, and will be built with elevations that provide nice views for drivers passing as they enter downtown. Additionally, our architect carefully studied Cranbury’s architectural history, and incorporated aspects of his findings into the design of The Gateway.”
Schneier added: “The Gateway is the product of teamwork at its finest and can serve as a case study for what can be achieved when a developer, a town and its residents are committed to working together for the greater good of the community.”
Conveniently located near Interstate 95 and Route 130, midway between New York City and Philadelphia, The Gateway is approximately 40 miles southwest of NYC and can be reached via Princeton Junction train station. To schedule a private tour, visit www.gatewaycranbury.com or call 732-406-5680.
