Man Accused Of Peering Into Princeton Home, Charged

Shoplifting and theft were also reported in Princeton Police's latest blotter.

PRINCETON, NJ — A Princeton man was arrested after police say he was peering inside a home.

On Feb. 9 at 12:02 a.m., Arnulfo Bautista-Cruz, 51, of Princeton, was arrested after he was found peering into a window of a house on Leigh Avenue, said police.

Bautista-Cruz was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, and charged with criminal trespass-peering and stalking.

Following processing Bautista-Cruz was taken to the Mercer County Correctional Center.

On Feb. 7 at 1:42 p.m.: An unknown actor entered a store on Nassau Street and removed several items from the front display which included several sports jackets, shirts, and blazers. The suspect then exited the store without paying for the items which totaled $5,857. The suspect then fled the area in a white sedan. The suspect is described as a black man, about 40 to 50 years old, salt and pepper beard, a black baseball cap, and a black hooded sweatshirt.

On Feb. 8 at 12:59 p.m.: An unknown actor approached the victim while she was withdrawing money from an ATM on Nassau Street and pretended to help her with her transaction. The unknown actor subsequently stole the victim’s debit card from her and later used it to make several fraudulent withdrawals from the victim’s account totaling $6,508. The suspect is described as a tall middle-aged black man wearing a brown jacket.

On Feb. 10 at 1:32 p.m.: The accused, Loraine Dunn, 61, of Glenside, PA, was placed under arrest at police headquarters for shoplifting from a retail store on Hulfish Street. Dunn was walked into the processing room where she was processed and charged accordingly. Dunn was released pending a future court.
