Man Arrested While Trying To Steal Bike In Princeton: Police

Princeton police release their activity report.

PRINCETON, NJ — A Trenton man was arrested while trying to steal a bike in Princeton this week, according to the police department.

Robert T. Todd, 52, was arrested after Princeton police received a call about a man trying to steal a bicycle on Witherspoon Street at Hulfish Street on June 23. The caller described the potential thief as a white man in his 50s wearing an orange hat, brown sweatshirt and shorts.

Responding officers found Todd on Witherspoon Street, and said he fit the description. He was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued several complaint summonses with a pending court date and released.

The arrest was announced as part of the Princeton Police Department’s activity report posted on the town’s website. All incidents are merely accusations, and those accused are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. Two other incidents were also included in the report.

Desiree Hall, 24, of Columbus, NJ, was found to have an ATS warrant out of the Hamilton Township Municipal Court in the amount of $170 following a traffic stop on University Place on June 23. Hall was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where she was processed, and released after posting bail.

Mandy Silowwka, 30, of Princeton, was arrested for having an active warrant out of South Brunswick Municipal Court in the amount of $500 following a traffic stop for having a brake light out on Birch Avenue on June 24. Silowka was taken to PPD headquarters where she was released after posting bail.
