Man Charged For Making Death Threats To Princeton Officers

A Princeton home and business were both burglarized recently as well, police report.

PRINCETON, NJ — A Lawrenceville man was arrested for making death threats to Princeton officer among other charges, police report.

On Nov. 11 at 8:24 p.m., Princeton Police received a call about a patron who left without paying for alcoholic beverages at 57 Witherspoon St., 66 Witherspoon St., and 28 Witherspoon St.

As a result, Simon Barnett, 54, of Lawrenceville was arrested for theft of service at 9:13 p.m., police report.

He was taken to Princeton Police Department headquarters where as he was processed, Barnett made several death threats to officers resulting in subsequent charges of terroristic threats, police report.

Barnett was issued several complaint summonses including theft of services with a pending court date and transported to the Mercer County Jail where he was housed.

On Nov. 11 at 1:43 a.m.: Subsequent to a false fire alarm at The Cottage Club it was determined that Vanja Obradovic, 20, of Princeton discharged a fire extinguisher for no apparent reason. There was no property damage however cleanup costs are estimated to be approximately $500.

On Nov. 11 at 7:41 p.m.: The complainant, Oliver Guzman, reported that a vehicle exited the Hulfish Parking Garage onto Chambers Street, without paying for parking services rendered. As direct result, the exit control arm landed on top of the suspect vehicle, but did not sustain any visible damage to it. The total value of the theft was unknown at the time of this report.

On Nov. 10 at 8:06 a.m.: A Sycamore Road resident reports between 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 and 8:06 a.m. on Nov. 10 someone entered their residence by cutting a screen and opening an unsecured window at the rear of the residence. While inside the actor(s) took a 13-inch Macbook Pro and charger. Estimated value of loss is $3000.

On Nov. 4 at 8:54 a.m.: A victim reports between 6 p.m. on Nov. 4 and 8:20 a.m. on Nov. 5, someone made entry through a rear door at Weichert Realtors in the 300 block of Nassau Street by using an unknown tool to pry open the rear door, damaging the lock. The actor(s) rummaged through the interior of the building, taking $75 in cash and a cordless DeWalt drill. Total value of loss estimated at $175.

On Nov. 7 at 2:57 p.m.: Subsequent to a speeding violation on Valley Road, Loris Ader, 30, of Princeton was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was taken to Princeton Police Department headquarters where he was processed, issued several motor vehicle summonses with pending court dates and released to a sober adult.
