Man Shot, Killed While Driving In Mercer County: Prosecutor
A Trenton man was apparently shot in the chest while driving in a housing complex Tuesday night.

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Trenton man was shot while driving in Hamilton Township Tuesday night, according to authorities. Police found 28-year-old Matthew J. Dukes in his car after he had apparently been shot in the chest while driving in the Society Hill housing complex.
Police responded to multiple calls for shots fired at about 11 p.m. Tuesday night, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said on Wednesday. One caller said they heard a man screaming that he had been shot.
Police determined that Dukes had been shot in the chest multiple times while driving. He was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where he was pronounced dead at about 12:30 a.m.

Residents had no idea someone had been murdered in their own development overnight, and were stopping to take pictures of the crime scene Wednesday morning, according to The Trentonian. A car appeared to have jumped the curb during the shooting.
