Man Who Threatened To 'Snipe' Princeton Club Manager Arrested

The Trenton man surrendered at Princeton Police headquarters Wednesday night, police said.

PRINCETON, NJ — A Trenton man who threatened “snipe” a manager at club on the Princeton University campus has been arrested, Princeton police announced on Thursday.

Darnell Pygum surrendered to police at Princeton Police Department headquarters on Wednesday night, police said. He was arrested without incident and processed on an outstanding warrant. He is charged with making terrorist threats and criminal trespass at the Terrace Club in Princeton on March 6.

Pygum arrived at the club looking for a job at about 11 a.m. that day, police previously said. However, when he arrived, he "appeared to be intoxicated and was behaving strangely by approaching and hugging club members and staff." When he was asked to leave, he did, but he later called the club and made a direct threat to the manager, police said.

"That is the last time you are going to yell at me," Pygum reportedly told the manager. "I got something for you, I'm going to snipe you, I'm going to get you, I'll be waiting for you outside this afternoon when you leave work."

After being processed on Wednesday, Pygum was taken to the Mercer County Jail by Princeton police.
