Mercer Co. Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting 10-Year-Old: Officials
Taalibidin Shakir of Trenton faces nine criminal counts including endangering the welfare of a child.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A Trenton man was charged with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child after he abused a 10-year-old girl multiple times, authorities said.
Taalibidin Shakir, 44, faces nine criminal counts including aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the criminal complaint.
The assaults occurred in November and December of last year and on June 20, according to the affidavit of probable cause.

Shakir is not a family member but was known to the victim. He was taken into custody by Trenton Police from a residence on June 20.
According to The Trentonian, Shakir is a truck driver. He is currently in Mercer County jail awaiting court appearances.
