Mercer Co. Officer & K9 To Feature On 2022 Police Calendar

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Mercer County Sheriff’s Officer Mike Mullen and his K9 partner Bodhi will feature in the 2022 Cops & Dogs K9 Police calendar.

Mullen, a 10-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office, and Bodhi, a five-year-old German Sheppard, have worked as an effective team for several years.

Together they serve Mercer County and the surrounding area on bomb threats and detection for explosive materials. The duo participates with the NJ Detect and Render Safe Task Force and partake in infrastructure security checks.

Mullen and Bodhi also play a significant role in protecting the terminal areas of the Trenton-Mercer Airport and are primarily called on to search unattended luggage and suspicious packages.

Together they also assisted at large sports venues, transit stations, special proceedings, and VIP events.

Sheriff Jack Kemler said it was a great honor to have Mullen and Bohdi represent the Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit in the calendar and for “an excellent cause.”

On Saturday, Dec. 4, Mullen and Bodhi will be at Dogs & Cats Rule pet store, 800 Denow Road, Pennington, to help introduce the calendar. They will be in Pennington from 10 a.m. to noon to answer questions and attendees can get a “paw-autograph” from Bodhi on a copy of the 2022 calendar.

The calendar is available for purchase at Dogs & Cats Rule pet store or at copsanddogs.com.
