Mercer County Board Of Elections Chairwoman Found Dead

HAMILTON, NJ — The chairwoman for the Mercer County Board of Elections was found dead inside her Hamilton home on Monday morning, authorities said.

Joanne Palmucci's "death appears to be from natural causes. That is pending an examination by the medical examiner," Mercer County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Casey DeBlasio said.

Palmucci's daughter was reportedly questioned afterwards but was cleared. It was found that the daughter left the home after an argument and then came back to find Palmucci dead and called police, according to the Trentonian.
