Mercer County Man Added to Most Wanted List

Matt M. Brecko was added to the list by Mercer County Sheriff Jack Kemler on Wednesday.

A Ewing man has been added to the Mercer County Most Wanted List, Sheriff Jack Kemler announced on Wednesday.

Matt M. Brekco, 31, is wanted for failure to appear for failure to appear in Superior Court on Aug. 13.

He allegedly illegally entered and burglarized an apartment on West Farrell Avenue in Ewing using an unauthorized master key. Brecko, as a former employee of the apartment complex, allegedly used an unreturned master key. He was charged by Ewing Police in August of 2014.

Police believe he is hiding locally, living on the streets and in generally wooded areas to intentionally avoid being found by police.

He has allegedly been seen from time-to-time soliciting loose change and possibly rummaging dumpsters to sustain himself. Brecko has been occasionally spotted riding a bicycle or fishing on the Raritan Canal Path.

He is described as a 5’9” white man, weighing about 150 pounds. A photo of Brecko, provided by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, is attached to this post.
