Michelle Pirone Lambros To Run For Princeton Council

"I've lived and traveled all over the world, and I can say that hands down, Princeton is one of the best places to live," Lambros said.

PRINCETON, NJ — Michelle Pirone Lambros officially announced her intent to run for Princeton Council in the 2019 election.

A second generation Italian-American, Lambros made the announcement on New Year's Eve. She is a Princeton native, adding that she has roots in the community going back 100 years.

Lambros said she is running for council because she wants to, "preserve Princeton’s unique small town qualities through conscientious progress."

She also was spurred to run after she had been selected for a training program in 2018 by Emerge America, a network to Democratic women seeking to run for office.

“Princeton is facing numerous challenges in the near term,” said Lambros. “Balancing municipal project funding and property tax increases, meeting the affordable housing obligation, supporting the business community, resolving the parking meter situation, and stewardship of the residential landscape. These challenges call for collaboration, communication, and creativity. I stand ready to serve our community and help guide it through these important decisions.”

Additionally, as a veteran entrepreneur, her newest venture, Princeton Promotions, will launch Princeton Restaurant Week early this year, and is sponsored by the Princeton Merchants Association.

She holds an M.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University in Washington D.C. and a B.A. in Political Science from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pa. She is married to George Lambros, and has three sons, one at Boston University and the other two at Princeton High School.

“I’ve lived and traveled all over the world, and I can say that hands down, Princeton is one of the best places to live. I look forward to the opportunity to serve as an elected official, and help assure that our town continues to be a safe, beautiful, thriving community,” she said.
