PRINCETON, NJ — The Princeton High School Animal Therapy Club (PHSATC) delighted Princeton Public Schools faculty and students with an afternoon visit from Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Center on April 5.

Based in Philadelphia, Jill Hart and Ryan Frech of Pegasus brought two miniature horses, Big Mac and Bleu, to the picnic area outside of the tower entrance to Princeton High School.

PHSATC founder, Kayla Resnick, made the connection with Pegasus at a horse show via a horse therapy contact, which led to the visit.

"I’m so excited to have Pegasus here at PHS," said Resnick. "Bringing miniature horses to our school is a dream come true. Many thanks to the PHS administration for their support."

This is not the first time PHSATC has brought in four-legged friends for a visit. Resnick arranges monthly animal visits, and partners with organizations such as Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs, Inc., AIR Foundation, Puppies Behind Bars, and the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. There are also monthly meetings that feature speakers where PHS students learn about different types of service dogs.
