This Is The Most Popular Halloween Candy In New Jersey

NEW JERSEY — Trick or treaters will soon be knocking on your doors and there’s only a few weeks remaining to stock up on Halloween candy. Or if you want to buy candy for yourself, we aren’t judging.

But before you go purchasing candy, do you know what trick-or-treaters like the most? Top Agency, a global marketing firm, recently released a report detailing the most popular candy in each state. And New Jersey’s favorite treat is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.

The second most popular candy in the state is Kit Kat followed by Milky way.

Reese’s emerged as the favorite in 18 U.S. states, and nine states chose Kit Kat as their favorite Halloween candy

These are New Jersey’s top 5 favorite Halloween candy:

1. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup
2. Kit Kat
3. Milky Way
4. Twix
5. Snickers

Methodology: To come up with the ranking, the marketing firm's data team analyzed digital commerce trends during October 2021 and 2022 to determine the most popular Halloween candy in every state.

In 2020, there was a decrease in Halloween candy sales by 19 percent, Top Agency said. A year later, sales increased by 11 percent. The company’s data projection team believes that candy sales this year is expected to exceed last year’s figures by 23 percent.
