Motorcyclist Critically Injured In Princeton Crash: Police

A 41-year-old East Windsor resident was injured. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, police said.

PRINCETON, NJ — A 41-year-old motorcyclist from East Windsor was critically injured following a crash in Princeton, police said.

On Monday, at 2:20 p.m., authorities were dispatched to the intersection of State Road (Rt 206) and Herrontown Road on a report of a crash involving a motorcycle with an injured rider.

According to the initial investigation, a 2015 Honda Civic driven by Mary Gadekar, 72, of Princeton was traveling south on State Road. A 2023 BMW F900R motorcycle driven by Rahul Dahiya, 41, of East Windsor was traveling north on State Road.

The Honda began to make a left turn onto Herrontown Road, in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle then struck the passenger side of the Honda, police said. Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad (PFARS) and Capital Health Paramedics responded to the scene.

Dahiya was taken to Capital Health Fuld Campus in Trenton, NJ in critical condition, police said.
