Murder Suspect Arrested At Princeton Medical Facility: Prosecutor
Darren Black, 37, of East Orange, was arrested in Princeton in connection with the murder of an Orange woman.

PRINCETON, NJ — An East Orange man accused of murdering a 38-year-old Orange woman was arrested at a Princeton medical facility, authorities announced.
Darren Black, 37, of East Orange, was arrested and charged with the murder of Shafeqah Cooper, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens and Irvington Police Director Tracy Bowers announced on Tuesday.
Black was arrested without incident at an unspecified medical facility in Princeton, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office. He was arrested by detectives from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force and the FBI Fugitive Task Force.

He is being held in the Essex County Correctional Facility. No further information concerning the arrest was provided due to the ongoing investigation.
Black is accused of killing Cooper in the area of Valley Street and Argyle Avenue in Orange on Aug. 17, according to the prosecutor's office. A driver found her body on Krotik Place in Irvington.

He has been charged with murder, concealment and removing human remains, illegal possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, prosecutors said.
