Nearly $3K Stolen In Princeton Business Burglary: Police
The burglary took place sometime during the overnight hours of Dec. 30.

PRINCETON, NJ — An unknown person recently broke into a Princeton business and stole nearly $3,000. The burglary at Thomas Sweets on Nassau Street took place between 11:20 p.m. on Dec. 30 and 11:20 a.m. on Dec. 31, according to the Princeton Police Department. The store manager reported $2,997 had been stolen from the store’s safe. There were no signs of forced entry, and there were no suspects as of Tuesday morning.
The burglary was reported as part of the Princeton Police Department’s blotter released Tuesday morning, Jan. 2. All incidents are merely accusations. Those accused are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. Other incidents reported on Tuesday include:
Aleeza Avery, 23, of Princeton, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) following an accident on the 100 block of Heather Lane on Jan. 1. She was taken to police headquarters, where she was processed, issued several motor vehicle summonses with a pending court date and released to a sober adult.

Todd Smith, 47, of Princeton, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) following a traffic stop for failure to maintain lane and other violations on the 200 block of Nassau Street on Dec. 31. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed, issued several motor vehicle summonses with a pending court date and released after being in custody until he was sober.
