The New Jersey MVC Mobile Unit Is Coming To Princeton
No need to make a trip to the local MVC. Renew driver's license, license plate, and more when the MVC's mobile unit comes to town.
PRINCETON, NJ — If you need to renew your driver's license and registration, and don’t want to make a trip to the local DMV, no worries. The state’s Motor Vehicle Commission’s (MVC) Mobile Unit is making a trip to Princeton soon.
The MVC will be hosting three events in Princeton to help residents with driver's license renewal, non-driver identification cards, REAL IDs, and license plate services. To attend this event, residents must register.

One Monument Drive, Stockton/Route 206, Monument Hall parking area:
- Tuesday, April 4, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Friday, June 24, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Monday, Sept. 26, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The mobile units will provide the following services:

Drivers Licenses: Drivers can renew their license, obtain a duplicate license, change their name or address on their license, add a boat endorsement, add a veteran designation, register to vote and/or make organ donation selections.
Non-driver identification cards: Get photo identification that can serve as a primary or secondary form of personal ID.
Registration: Drivers may renew registration or obtain a duplicate registration card.
Real ID: Mobile units can provide Real ID to a limited number of customers whose license or ID cards are expiring within the next 6 months. Customers that have scheduled appointments for Real IDs must arrive no later than noon, the day of the appointment.
License Plates: Drivers can surrender their license plates.
Placards: Drivers may obtain a Persons with a Disability, Purple Heart, or Disabled Veteran placard.
Examination permits: Apply for an examination permit to take a written (law/knowledge) test. The actual written test is not available in the Mobile Units.
