Mercer Man Charged With Murder, Severely Burned Body Identified

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Officials have identified the burned remains of a New Jersey woman found near a cemetery in Mercer County and a Hamilton man has been charged with murder, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said Wednesday.

The severely burned body of Lisa Lloyd, 39, of Ewing was found near a cemetery in Hamilton Township a little before 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Harley Wildmann, 42, was arrested and charged Tuesday evening with first-degree murder, second-degree desecration of human remains, third- and fourth-degree weapons offenses and fourth-degree tampering with evidence.

On Tuesday, Hamilton police received a call from someone in the area of Clover Avenue who saw what appeared to be human remains near the cemetery, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said. Detectives collected video from the area surrounding the cemetery and identified a two-tone Chevy S10 pickup truck with NJ registration driving past early morning Tuesday, Onofri said. At around 1:48 a.m., the vehicle was seen stopping for several minutes in the area where the remains were found and a short time later, a large fire was seen adjacent to the stopped vehicle, authorities said.

Detectives located the Chevy S10 pickup truck later that morning in the area of Chambers and E. Franklin Streets and conducted a motor vehicle stop. The driver of the vehicle was Wildmann. A female passenger was also in the vehicle. The female was released after task force detectives interviewed her, authorities said.

The prosecutor’s office has filed a motion to detain Wildmann pending trial.
