One of Mercer County's Most Wanted Captured in New York

Christopher Randall allegedly cut a victim in the face violently and severely with a survival knife.

One of Mercer County’s Most Wanted Fugitives who was wanted on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was captured in New York on Wednesday, according to Mercer County Sheriff Jack Kemler.

Christopher Randall, 35, was captured without incident by Cortland Police in a residential apartment in Cortland County, New York. He allegedly violently and severely cut a victim’s face with a Rambo-style survival knife. The victim had to receive 15-20 sutres.

He was wanted on a bench warrant issued on Jan. 5 for failure to appear in court. He was considered armed and dangerous, and was located following a series of anonymous tips from residents in Mercer and Cortland counties.

Randall also has a history of criminal arrests over the last several years in Princeton, Lawrence, Trenton and Hamilton.

He also has outstanding warrants out for his arrest with the New York City Police Department, which he must satisfy before being returned to New Jersey.

“I am grateful to the officers and detectives of the Cortland, New York Police Department for their efforts to coordinate and capture one of Mercer’s Most Wanted,” Kemler said.

He was placed on the Mercer County Most Wanted List about 40 days ago.
