Overnight Road Work Set For Princeton This Week

Princeton police also provided an update on ongoing construction at the university.

PRINCETON, NJ — There will be overnight road work at the intersection of Washington Road and Faculty Road two nights this week, according to the Princeton Police Department. Police also provided updates on ongoing road closures at the university.

Work at the intersection of Washington Road and Faculty Road will take place on Monday, Aug. 6, and Tuesday, Aug. 7, 7 p.m.-5 a.m. the following morning. During this time traffic will be alternated through the work zone by police officers. This phase of the work is expected to be completed by Saturday, Aug. 11.

Faculty Road is closed to thru traffic from Washington Road to Fitzrandolph Road. All access to Lot 21 is from the driveways into the lot from Fitzrandolph Road. The closure is expected to remain in place until Friday, Aug. 24.

Faculty Road is closed to thru traffic overnight from 7 p.m.-5 a.m. from Washington Road to Elm Drive. This closure is also expected to remain in place until Aug. 24.

Sidewalks in the construction area will remain open during the closure. Drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians are urged to use caution and follow posted detour signage.
