Palestinian Ambassador To Talk Peace At Princeton University
Husam Zomlot will speak as part of the "Conversations About Peace" lecture series at the university.

PRINCETON, NJ — Husam Zomlot, Palestine’s ambassador to the United States will speak at Princeton University as part of the university’s “Conversations about Peace” lecture series. Zomlot will speak in Arthur Lewis Auditorium, Robertson Hall on Thursday, April 12, 4:30 p.m., the university announced.
Zomlot’s speech comes during a time of high tension between Washington and Palestine, after President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Zomlot will discuss multilateralism and the future for peace in the Middle East.
Zomlot serves as strategic advisor to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, and head of the General Delegation of the Palestinian Liberation Organization to the United States. He was sworn in as ambassador in March 2017.

He has also served as ambassador-at-large for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, deputy commissioner of the Fatah commission for foreign relations, and as charge d'affaires at the Palestinian mission to the United Kingdom. He was born in the Shabura refugee camp in the southern tip of the Gaza Strip.
The Conversations about Peace lecture series is designed to engage students, scholars, visiting practitioners and the community in thinking about the Middle East peace process with a more proactive, pro-peace approach. It is co-sponsored by the Mamdouha S. Bobst Center for Peace and Justice and the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
