Penn Medicine Princeton Implements Limited Visitation Policy
The hospital updated its visitation policy earlier this month "given the escalation in COVID-19 cases."

PRINCETON, NJ — Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center recently revised its guidelines and is now implementing a limited visitors policy.
The hospital is allowing only one visitor at a time, and in some cases two. The policy went into effect March 5.
On their website, the hospital said it made the changes "given the escalation in COVID-19 cases, and after careful consideration by our infectious disease experts and other members of the clinical staff."

Visitation for COVID-19 patients still remains suspended, except for circumstances approved by the care team.
Patients at the end of life, including those with COVID-19, may have two healthy visitors at a time, said the hospital. Visitors need to inform staff in advance so arrangements for PPE can be made.

Patients in labor and postpartum can have one healthy support person with them for the duration of their stay. A certified Doula may also be present, said the hospital.
The hospital said it will also allow aides for patients with intellectual, developmental and cognitive disabilities
All visitors need to be 18 years or older, and must complete mandatory symptom screening before the visit. When visiting, they need to wear a mask and maintain social distancing at all times.
Visiting time is 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Last year, at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, and more recently in November, hospitals had restricted visitations as COVID-19 cases surged statewide.
