PRINCETON, NJ – On Sunday, parents, students and community members gathered at Hinds Plaza to support Princeton High School Principal Frank Chmiel and demanded transparency from the Board of Education.
Chmiel was placed on administrative leave in March, and since then, community members have demanded that the BOE reinstate him. More: School District Replaces Principal At Princeton High School
“I’ve been a parent at PHS for six years now. In my six years as an active parent volunteer leader, I have gone through five Principals - Gary Snyder, Jessica Baxter, Jared Warren, Frank Chmiel and now Katie Foster. This revolving door of key school leadership is unacceptable,” said Sasha Weinstein "We demand transparency from the Superintendent and BOE.”

During the rally, parents said that Princeton High School found stability, good community-building and a supportive advocate in Chmiel.
“The agenda the BOE and its supporters continue to push is that the Chmiel supporters are a small but vocal group. We are vocal, but not small. How can they dismiss the student led petition that garnered 2,000+ signatures to reinstate Chmiel in a few days,” said Bozena Bannett.
