PRINCETON, NJ – Planning Board on Thursday will be reviewing the concept plan for a proposal to build a mixed-use building at 344 Nassau Street utilizing the Affordable Housing Overlay 2 (AHO-2).

RB Homes has proposed the development at the corner of Harrison Street.

“The site includes a two-story building fronting Nassau Street with surface parking in the rear of the building, accessed on North Harrison Street. Various office tenants reside in the building,” Municipal Planner Justin Lesko said in a memo.

The property is located in the Jugtown Historic District, which is designated locally and listed on the state and national registers. "The state-designated King’s Highway Historic District runs along Nassau Street including a front portion of the property, though no change is proposed within this area,” Lesko said.

The concept also includes a four-story, 45-foot-tall addition behind the existing historic building. The developers plan to remove parts of the existing structure from the rear of the building, according to Lesko’s memo.

“The upper three floors include 20 total residential units: 9 one-bedroom, 10 two-bedroom and one 3-bedroom,” Lesko said in the memo.
