Missing, Endangered Mercer Co. Man Found Dead: Police

A search for the man began Thursday and his vehicle was found parked in the area of the Community Park, police said.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A 22-year-old missing and endangered man was found dead on Friday, West Windsor Police said.

The man was found in a marshy wooded area outside of Community Park. "Nothing suspicious was found and there is no danger to the community," police said.

A massive search began Thursday night after officers were sent to Princeton-Hightstown Road in the area of Citizen’s Rifle and Revolver Club on a report of a missing person at 8:55 p.m.

The parents of the man were concerned after not hearing from their son since approximately 4 p.m. on Thursday, police said.

A search was started and the man's vehicle was found parked in the area of the Community Park. A Command Post was set up and the search spanned out from there.

Additional resources were brought in to aid police in the search, including a West Windsor K9, a West Windsor Drone, additional detectives and officers, as well as New Jersey State Police Aviation. West Windsor Fire & Emergency Services were also requested to assist with the search.

"Search efforts were hampered by the darkness and dense brush," police said.

This case is still under investigation, and police have not released the identity of the man.
