Police Investigate Burglary To House, Car In Princeton

The car and home belonged to the same person, and were burglarized on Dec. 8.

PRINCETON, NJ — A house and a home were burglarized on Wilson Road last week, Princeton police said Friday morning. The house and home belonged to the same person, and the burglary took place some time between Dec. 7 and Dec. 8. Several items were stolen from both the home and vehicle.

Princeton police reported the incident as part of their weekly activity report Friday morning. All incidents are merely accusations, and those accused are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.

An Adidas backpack containing an Apple iPad Air2 was stolen in the area of Bunn Drive after it fell out of the back of the car on Dec. 8.

On Dec. 11, a victim reported sending $1,000 to an Instagram account for the purchase of two sweatshirts. The victim has not received the merchandise and is unable to contact the seller.

Jessica Mejia-Gomez, 20, of Princeton, was found in possession of drug paraphernalia during an investigation of a suspicious vehicle in Smoyer Park after hours on Dec. 7. She was arrested and issued a complaint summons with a pending court date.

Michael Patanella, 40, of Lawrence, was arrested for stealing between $1,000 and $1,200 from a store in which he was employed on North Harrison Street on Dec. 11. During the arrest, police said he was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a complaint summons and given a pending court date.

Kyle Meister, of Levittown, PA., was found to have an active warrant from East Windsor Municipal Court in the amount of $156 following a traffic stop on Dec. 12 at 10:12 a.m. He was arrested and paid the fine in full.
