Police Investigate Burglary At Princeton United Methodist Church

The church was broken into on Monday, according to police.

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton police are investigating a burglary that took place at Princeton United Methodist Church Monday afternoon.

Sometime between 2 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. on June 19, someone broke into the church through an office, and proceeded to enter other offices through unlocked doors, police said Friday afternoon.

Among the miscellaneous items stolen were two violins. The total value of the loss is undetermined. Anyone with information can call the Princeton Police Department at 609-921-2100.

Also reported as part of the police report released on Friday was the arrest of a Bordentown woman on charges of driving while intoxicated (DWI). Lauren Wilt, 31, was placed under arrest for DWI after police attempted to help her after seeing her driving on a flat tire on the 100 block of Alexander Street on June 22 at 3:09 a.m.

Wilt was taken to police headquarters, where she was processed and released with motor vehicle summonses and a pending court date to a sober adult.
