Police Investigate Employees For Illegally Selling Computers

Two Princeton employees have been accused of illegally selling town computers online for a personal profit.

PRINCETON, NJ — Two Princeton employees are being investigated for improperly disposing of municipal property, the Princeton Police Department confirmed Friday morning. They are being investigated for possibly selling municipal computers online for a personal profit.

The matter was referred to Princeton police on Wednesday, but police couldn’t comment any further because the investigation remains in its early stages, according to Princeton Police Department Public Information Officer Fred Williams.

The employees are on paid administrative leave while the investigation is conducted, Princeton Mayor Liz Lempert confirmed. She couldn't comment further due to the ongoing investigation.

The two employees have been identified as Robert McQueen and Anthony Guevarez, according to Planet Princeton. New Jersey has a strict procedure that must be followed when disposing of government property.
