Police Investigate Home Burglary In Princeton

Police also announced an arrest in a fraud investigation on Tuesday.

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton police are investigating a home burglary that took place last week. Sometime between 10:15 a.m. and 1:10 p.m. on Friday, June 23, an unknown person broke into a home on the 200 block of Jefferson Road, Princeton police said on Tuesday.

Once inside, the person stole silver and various other items of unknown value. Anyone with information should call the Princeton Police Department at 609-921-2100.

Also on Tuesday, Princeton police reported the arrest of a 34-year-old Jersey City man on charges of fraud. David Lucas was charged with unlawful use of credit cards, ID theft and hindering apprehension.

Police responded to Hamilton Jewelers to investigate a report of a suspicious male attempting to open a $19,000 line of credit on Monday, June 26. An ensuing investigation resulted in the charges against Lucas.

He was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed and subsequently taken to Mercer County Correctional Facility.
