Police Investigate Home Burglary In Princeton

Princeton police release their activity report.

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton police are investigating a home burglary that took place on Clearview Avenue late last month.

A woman reported that sometime between noon on June 22 and 9 a.m. on June 23, her MacBook Air laptop computer and a black Roomba Vacuum Cleaner were stolen from inside her home. The total value of the missing items is estimated $2,500.

The burglary was reported on Monday as part of the Princeton Police Department’s activity report. All incidents are merely accusations, and those accused are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. The other reported incidents are as follows:

An unidentified man stole a pair of Rayban sunglasses and $50 in cash from a car that was parked overnight on Birch Avenue on July 12. The car doors were unlocked at the time of the burglary.

A man reported that a tire on his rental car was punctured by an unknown person between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on July 9. The car was near the boat launch on Princeton-Kingston Road. The estimated value of the tire was about $100.

Mayra Perez-Gonzalez, 49, of Hamilton, was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) following a traffic stop on Bayard Lane on July 16. Her car was stopped after police received a 911 call reporting an erratic driver on Route 206. After police said they determined she was intoxicated, she was arrested, taken to police headquarters, processed, issued several summonses with a pending court date, and released to a sober adult.

Shamira Wilkins, 25, of Trenton, was arrested for multiple outstanding warrants out of the Trenton Municipal Court totaling $1,250 following a traffic stop for speeding on South Harrison Street on July 9. She was taken to police headquarters, where she was processed, issued summonses with a pending court date and released on her own recognizance by Trenton Municipal Court.
