Presentation of School Budget Set for Princeton Council Meeting Monday Night

Superintendent of Schools Steve Cochrane will make the presentation at the meeting, set for 7 p.m.

Princeton Superintendent of Schools Steve Cochrane will provide a presentation on the school district’s proposed $81,472,092 budget at the town council meeting Monday night, 7 p.m. at the municipal complex.

The school board introduced a budget in March that calls for a $1.7 million tax levy increase, according to Planet Princeton.

The owner of the average Princeton home assessed at $796,000 would pay $8,512 in school taxes, an increase of $178, according to the report. The budget itself increases by just under $2 million.
