Princeton Care Center Medical Director Nominated for Position on End of Life Advisory Council

Princeton Care Medical Center Medical Director David Barile has been nominated for appointment to the New Jersey Advisory Council on End-of-Life Care, Gov. Chris Christie announced on Thursday.
He was nominated as a representative of a New Jersey General Hospital. He was one of 12 people nominated on Thursday.
The Council was created to study issues relative to the quality and cost-effectiveness of, and access to, end-of-life care services for New Jersey residents.

It is commissioned with developing and presenting policy recommendations for the consideration of State agencies, policymakers, health care providers, and third party payers.
Barile was nominated as the medical director for Princeton Care in July, according to nj.com. He has been with the center since February.

He is board certified in Internal Medicine, and also specializes in geriatric medicine and hospice and palliative medicine, according to princetonhcs.org.
The Governor’s nominations are subject to the advice and consent of the State Senate.
