Princeton Council Accepts First Post-Consolidation Audit, Corrective Action Plan

Princeton Mayor Liz Lempert was pleased with the results of Princeton’s first post-consolidation audit, nj.com reports.
The results of the 2013 audit, conducted by Hodulik & Morrison, were presented at Monday night’s council meeting.
Residents voted to consolidate Princeton Borough and Princeton Township into one entity in 2011, and the consolidation took effect last year.

Given the difficulties related to bringing two municipalities together, Lempert was pleased with the results of the audit, which was accepted unanimously at Monday’s meeting.
Council also accepted the recommendations in the attached corrective action plan, according to the report.
