Princeton Council will voice its support for placing a memorial honoring Officer Walter Harris outside Witherspoon Hall at its meeting Monday night, 7 p.m.
Harris was 31 when he was shot and killed while responding to a disturbance on Feb. 2, 1946, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page website.
He had served with the Princeton Borough Police Department for three years. He was survived by his wife and two children.
