Princeton Councilman Bernie Miller Chooses Not To Run For Re-Election

PRINCETON, NJ — There will be a new member joining the Princeton Council at the end of the year, after Councilman Bernard Miller announced he will retire from council at the end of his term, according to published reports.

Miller made his announcement during Wednesday night’s reorganization meeting, according to the Princeton Packet. He was first elected to council in 2002.

Councilwoman and fellow Democrat Jo S. Butler has not yet announced if she will run for re-election this year. Leticia Fraga has already announced she will run for council in 2017, according to the report.

Jenny Crumiller was unanimously appointed council president by her fellow members of council, Planet Princeton reports.

Tim Quinn was sworn in as the newest member of the all-Democratic Council, and Mayor Liz Lempert was sworn in to a second four-year term by New Jersey Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker, according to the report.
