Princeton Democrats Will Go Unchallenged In November's Elections
No petitions were filed for independent campaigns were filed by Tuesday's deadline.

PRINCETON, NJ — Leticia Fraga and David Cohen will become members of Princeton Council come January. They ran unopposed in Tuesday’s Democratic Primary, and no Republicans chose to run for a pair of open council seats. No independent petitions were filed by Tuesday’s 4 p.m. deadline, according to the Mercer County Clerk’s Office.
The seats currently held by Bernard “Bernie” Miller and Jo Butler will be contested in November’s general election. Neither incumbent chose to run for re-election. It is the second year in a row in which no Republicans chose to run for council.
Four candidates ran for two seats in last year’s Democratic Primary, including Fraga. Fraga finished third in that primary with 2,237 votes. Just 47 votes separated her from Tim Quinn. Jenny Crumiller and Quinn won the primary, and ran unopposed in last year’s general elections.
