Princeton Festival Casting Local Children for Upcoming Productions

Tickets are on sale now.

Princeton, NJ -- The Princeton Festival will cast a number of local children in their upcoming production of Benjamin Britten’s opera “Peter Grimes,” the festival announced on Thursday.

The Festival plans to cast a half-dozen boys and girls, ages 7-12, in non-singing villager roles.

It also plans to cast one additional boy, ages 8-10, in the role of Grimes’ apprentice.

Parents are asked to contact auditions@princetonfestival.org by April 4 to receive more information and a copy of the schedule of required rehearsals.

Other season highlights include:

  • the Tony Award-winning musical “A Little Night Music”;
  • a three-way collaboration with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra and the Princeton Garden Theatre presenting the 1928 silent film “Joan of Arc” accompanied by Richard Einhorn’s “Voices of Light” for orchestra, chorus and soloists; and
  • an a cappella vocal jazz concert featuring two all-male groups, The Fonic and Break from Blue Collar, and much more.

The Princeton Festival runs from June 4 through June 26.
