Princeton Girlchoir To Host Benefit Concert For Children In Ukraine

Proceeds from the concert at Nassau Presbyterian Church will go towards supporting children affected by the war in Ukraine.

PRINCETON, NJ - Princeton Girlchoir will host its 15th annual Children Making a Difference benefit concert on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.

The concert will be held at the Nassau Presbyterian Church. This year, benefits from the evening will go towards supporting children affected by the war in Ukraine through a donation to the Ukrainian Federation of America (UFA).

Over five million children are in need of humanitarian assistance due of the war in Ukraine, with “consequences for children at a scale and speed not seen since World War II,” the UNICEF said. Two-thirds of Ukrainian children have been displaced, and approximately 8,000 have been separated from their parents.

Based in Philadelphia, UFA is a nonprofit organization that has aided Ukrainians for 30 years. Funds raised at the concert will help provide medical care, supplies, and crisis response for children.

The "Children Making a Difference" benefit concert empowers singers to make a difference by using their time and talents to help others.

Each year, the benefit concert raises money for a charitable organization in the community and educates audiences about the nonprofit.

In the past 15 years, the event has raised around $40,000 in support of various causes. Donations will be accepted at the door in lieu of tickets. .

The girls of PGC range in age from 8 to 18 and come from numerous schools in central New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. Princeton Girlchoir is a program of Westrick Music Academy.
