Princeton is No. 4 in the Central Jersey Group IV power points standings.

The Princeton High School football team now has sole possession of fourth place in the Central Jersey Group IV power points standings despite suffering its first loss of the season.

Princeton (5-1, 71 points) is now two points ahead of Middletown South (4-2, 69 points) after the teams were tied for fourth last week in the latest rankings posted Monday on nj.com.

The top eight teams in each group after the first eight games of the season qualify for the playoffs. Only a team’s seven best wins of their first eight games count toward qualifying for the playoffs.
