Princeton Local Scammed Out Of $202K In Lottery Deception
The Princeton local fell victim to a lottery scam where they were told that they won $35 million, police report.
PRINCETON, NJ — A Princeton local was reportedly scammed out of $202,000 in a lottery scheme, police report.
A Marion Road West resident reported that between Feb. 19 and March 20, they fell victim to a lottery scam where they were told that they won $35 million, Princeton Police report.
The victim was told they had to pay the "taxes" first to collect their winnings. The victim mailed several checks to various names and addresses over the course of the month which were all cashed, police report.
