Princeton Memorial Day Service Set For Saturday

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton’s Memorial Day Parade steps off on Saturday, May 27, 10 a.m. on the corner of Princeton Avenue and Nassau Street. It proceeds to Princeton Monument Hall (1 Monument Drive or 45 Stockton Street in Princeton) and is followed by a short ceremony at the hall at 11 a.m.

Veterans are encouraged to participate in the parade. E-mail Mark Freda, (SOP Vice Chair / Media / PR) for more information. The event is open to all.

The parade is put together by the Spirit of Princeton, a charitable, non-partisan community committee dedicated to bringing the community together in civic pride.

Princeton’s municipal offices will be closed on Monday, May 29, in observance of the holiday. Trash collection that usually takes place on Monday will instead take place on Tuesday, May 30. Recycling will take place on Saturday, June 3.

Residents are reminded to have their containers at the curb by 7 a.m. for collection.
